Life in Black and White- March

Has it been a month already!?! This past month has been incredibly stressful with visitors, car troubles, illness, baby sleep troubles and so much more.  I hope to get back to blogging regularly soon. The rainy season has finally hit us and with it comes incredible cloud formations.  I caught these yesterday. Hope your having… Continue reading Life in Black and White- March

Life in Black and White – Feb 2014

One of Gavin’s favorite places to play is inside the empty bird houses outside.  They are like giant cubbies with doors.  The perfect place for a toddler to play hide and seek. This post is part of a year long blog circle on Black and White photography.  Please check out Jen Reynolds fabulous blog next.

Free Quick Edit Preset for Landscapes

In my opinion, watching someone edit a photo is the best way to learn how to edit your own pictures.  On my photography blog I would occasionally do editing tutorials and now that I’ve combined my blogs I would love to expand on that in 2014.  I ‘m also interested in doing screenshot videos as… Continue reading Free Quick Edit Preset for Landscapes

It was ridiculously hot in southern California while we were there.  Over 100 degrees for most of the trip.  Tom tells me that it was hot… Continue reading Garden Update 7/7

Sorry I haven’t posted in a couple days.  We are sick again, or maybe its the same one that keeps coming back.  I don’t know.  I hope it goes away soon.  This is the first time Gavin has been sick before and he sounds so sad and miserable rubbing his little nose. I joined the… Continue reading 30 Days of Renewal – Day 18 – one step at a time

30 Days of Renewal – Day 17 – Playtime, for both of us

We are recovered.  Getting ready to start our school week tomorrow.  I am in need of a little quiet.  Brae reminds me daily that there is “only 16, 15, 14… days of school left until summer break!” So tonight, after she was in bed, I spent a few creative moments with my boy.

30 Days of Renewal – Day 16 – Gavin Pics

So, what happens as soon as I recover from Gavin’s growth spurt?  Yup, we all got strep throat.  So today I did my best to keep Brae’s near constant “i’m sick” meltdowns at bay and we huddled together on the couch watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory. I hope to post everyday this week,… Continue reading 30 Days of Renewal – Day 16 – Gavin Pics
